Colour Therapy & The Colours of Nature
Simply getting out amongst some greenery can have a calming and healing effect as the colour green is good for the heart. Sunlight has all the colours in the spectrum and also gives us a boost particularly during the winter months. Clouds have many changing moods that can reflect our own feelings, violet colours can be spiritually uplifting and with a silver sky you can reach for the stars. That burst of light on the grey horizon can mean that the darks clouds are going away and there is light at the end of the tunnel. The orange glow of sunrise or sunset through the mist can provide a feel good factor to start a new dawn in your life or the sun going down on memories best left behind.
Being by the sea is considered therapeutic for a number of reasons; the emotionally soothing sound of the waves, the blue/green colour of the sea is calming, healing and helps resolve any residual grief. The golden sand helps you value yourself and the wisdom of your own judgment at a time when only you can decide what to do, the dark cliffs can provide temporary escape from the outside world and put you in touch with your mystical abilities. Why are sunsets associated with romance? Probably because of the red glow is very sexy and on the beach you have all the necessary ingredients to put you in touch with natures instincts.
