Many of the concepts of Chinese medicine have no counterpart in Western medicine. Chinese medicine views the mind and body as an energetic system that cannot be separated from one another or the universe. Organs are not as in Western Medicine separate functioning structures, but are interconnected organ systems that work together to keep the body functioning well, in Chinese medicine as with colour therapy it is the patient and not the disease which is treated.
Traditional acupuncture is invasive as it uses needles to penetrate the skin to stimulate the meridians and given the rise in infections is risky. This also means that acupuncture points can only be treated when they are close to the surface of the skin and cannot penetrate to any depth.
Colour acupuncture is non invasive and therefore safer as a far as infectious disease is concerned. It can also penetrate to all parts of the body so can treat acupuncture points close to the surface and deep within the body.
A pendulum is used to diagnose any imbalance or blockage and a coloured light is applied to the pressure points on the body's meridians or energy lines on mental command using the fingers or with the use of a special coloured torch with a quartz crystal tip.
